Quick Start Programme

Quick Start Programme

Gold Canyon has developed a special, one-time incentive for all new Demonstrators, which rewards you with up to $425.00 in Gold Canyon products for your personal use or to enhance your Demonstrator Kit. By following the techniques taught in this manual you’ll learn how to make the most of your new business and reap greater rewards in your first 90 days as a new Demonstrator.

The Quick Start programme is broken into three levels. Although the levels are not cumulative, each level is designed to help you reach certain milestones in your business and provide the necessary skills to continue to grow your business.

Level 1 (Days 1-30)

Requirements
• Submit at least one commissionable order
• Achieve commissionable sales of $700.00 or more within this period
• Sign one new Demonstrator for an additional $50.00 product value bonus if achieved (not required)
Incentive
• $75.00 in products

Level 2 (Days 31-60)

Requirements
• Submit at least one commissionable order
• Achieve commissionable sales of $1,000.00 or more within this period
• Sign one new Demonstrator for an additional $50.00 product value bonus if achieved (not required)

Level 3 (Days 61-90)

Bookings...

50 Ways and Places to get bookings


1. Call your past hostesses and offer them a party with the new catalog
2. Hold a Mystery Host Party! (All customers entered in drawing to receive Host Rewards)
3. Call anyone who said "maybe" or "sometime" 4
4. Exchange shows with demonstrators from other companies, or do a show together and expose her customers to your product and vice versa
5. Host an office party
6. Don’t let a hostess cancel her party, turn it into a book party and ask her to schedule another within a couple of weeks so that she can reap the host booking benefits and hostess rewards.
7. Host a show before a PTA meeting
8. Treat your past hostesses to a Spring Appreciation Tea
9. Ask your relatives and friends
10. Make a list of 100 people and call them all. Tell them you are participating in a challenge to get the most bookings. They will want to help you!
11. Call local realtors and tell them that our candles are the best closing gifts and give them one to try. They are great for burning at open houses too!
12. Let everyone know what you do
13. Be friendly and enthusiastic
14. Follow through with every booking lead
15. Have the hostess at your shows stand up and tell everyone why she decided to host a show
16. Suggest a catalog show if they are reluctant to hold one in their own home
17. Leave your business cards on bulletin boards in local businesses
18. Wear Gold Canyon logowear
19. Always work candles into the conversation when talking to people you meet for the first time 20. Set goals
21. Don't be shy when talking about your products or your business
22. Advertise in school sports programs or in the church bulletin
23. Offer bonuses to hostess who book on certain days
24. “Office in your car” Always have information in your car - catalogs, recruiting info
25. Advertise on your answering machine
26. Freely give out samples - tealights in the little orange boxes with your business cards. Get their info so you can follow up on how they liked the product
27. Leave samples with bank tellers, waitresses, cashiers, etc.
28. Review orders from past shows, maybe they want their holiday candles for FREE
29. Set up a table at a local Spring Craft Fair or Bridal Expo
30. Have your spouse promote your products at work
31. Make sure to enter all email addresses in your GC database so you can send group emails
32. Put an "ask me about...." button on your purse or jacket
33. Ask a local Mens lodge to set up for a Shopping night just for men (Mothers day)
34. Get the signs for your car through Town and Country.
35. Post flyers in apartment buildings (check for No Solicitation signs first)
36. Wear your GC name badge when you go shopping (only when dressed appropriately of course)
37. Carry the catalog bag and use it as your purse
38. Make a goal to give away a set amount of business cards every day
39. Give Novel Scents to the ladies working at the library - staple your business card to the plastic wrap and ask them to put a catalog in their lunchroom
40. Join a club or take a class with the intention of meeting new people and then talk about your business
41. Mention to people that you have a home business - they are curious and will ask you about it every time!
42. Send a letter to companies and offer corporate gift giving
43. Welcome new neighbors with information on our products, a catalog, business card, and a sample
44. Leave your catalogs and information in hospital waiting rooms
45. Attend other home parties and swap information with the other demonstrator and get ideas on how she does her show
46. Hang out at the McDonalds play area with your kids and talk it up to the moms there
47. Have a neighborhood get together with just the ladies
48. When giving catalogs, ask them if they have a card so you can follow-up
49. Describe and highlight the hostess plan, play fun booking games during shows
50. Include a flyer and business card in your bill payments


Spend time every day working on your business and you will soon see it grow. Don't forget to share the business opportunity with everyone you meet. You never know who may be interested in a business of their own.

GETTING STARTED

As a new demonstrator, we need to get you rolling. I know you will do wonderful with this once you get started.

If you have not received your demonstrator kit you should be receiving your kit shortly. It can take 3 to 10 days in the US a little longer if you are in Canada, Alaska, Puerto Rico, or other areas.

There are a few things you should do to help you get started as a New Gold Canyon Demonstrator:

1. Familiarize your self with the Essentials OnLine: http://www.goldcanyoncandle.com/.

You should have received an ID number and password via e-mail from Gold Canyon. Go to the bottom right of the page to where it says Demonstrator Login, click that to be taken to the login screen.

This is your back office, it will contain almost everything you need to conduct your business. This is where you will place orders, manage orders, order supplies, manage customers, and set up your own website and shopping cart. This area is very simple to use once you learn how, relax and take it easy, you can click and search through everything in there, you wont break it. Place a few practice orders, get familiar with searching items and adding customers etc. as long as you dont enter a credit card and submit an order you wont be charged. So get to know this area, it is your direct connection to Gold Canyon.

2. Study the current catalog. Read about the products and candle care information. Familiarize yourself with the Demonstrator Manual Online, view or download the manual:


· Login to your account here Go to "Action" click on that or mouse over it until the menu appears, then click on "Demonstrator Manual".

3. Begin compiling your Circles of Influence (see pages 3.20 and 3.21 within the Action section of the Demonstrator Manual).


4. Set your goals to qualify for the Quick Start Program.

1. See pages 3.12 and 3.13 for requirements & rewards.

2. Print the Quick Start tracking worksheet on page 3.14.

5. Schedule your own Gold Canyon Debut to be held as soon as possible. click here for help with your Gold Canyon Debut or Open House

New Demonstrators

If you are a new Demonstrator, you may be wondering how to get started in the first place.


To jump-start your business, all you have to do is to find bookings and hold Parties. It’s easiest to contact people you already know -- people within your circle of influence.

Gold Canyon Debut

One of the best ways to get started is to have your own "Gold Canyon Debut" or "Gold Canyon Open House".

Here is an email for you to send to everyone. You can of course tweak it however you want, but you want to get the word out that you are doing this and ask for the support. Also, pick a date and schedule an open house. You just send out e-vites, etc letting everyone know you are having a kick off party at your home for a few hours and list the time. Invite them to stop by check out your products, sample all your scents, have some snacks and lend their support. Invite EVERYONE! Put a flyer up where ever you are allowed, at work, etc. When you think about it...you will be surprised at how many people you do know. This is going to be exactly what YOU MAKE of it. This is extra money for you and for whatever you want! :) The faster you get your orders the faster you are qualified and the faster you will have an extra $125 to help make the month that much better.

January 1st (adjust dates and seasons if necessary) was the beginning of this season's brand new catalog and it is filled with tons of great spring scents, both seasonal and returning. Gold Canyon has also just launched a new product line called HOMEOLOGY. It is an all natural plant based aromatherapy cleaning product. It is wonderful. It smells fantastic and I can honestly say, once I start cleaning I just want to keep going. It makes the whole house smell wonderful, cleans great and its calming and invigorating all at the same time.

One last thing.....if you decide that your wish list is bigger than your budget, may I suggest hosting a party. You have the potential to earn tons of free product. I would love to come to your home, set up my samples and conduct and in home party. This will be so much fun. Just invite all your friends and family, put out some snacks and I will do the rest. I promise you it will be quick, easy and fun. This is a great excuse to get the girls together for some well deserved girl time, plus you will be helping me in so many ways. With a few catalogs and a few scents, you can share them with your friends, family, co workers etc and collect orders and earn the SAME HOST CREDIT AS AN IN HOME PARTY!!
